Personality
ENTJ-A (The Commander)
Headstrong, with a firm sense of self, Ezume will not shift his opinions and views on certain topics in order to comply to societal standards, or get along with an individual. Being true to his self comes with no apologies, and an open door, for the ones who don't care for who he is. An idealist at heart, who will go as far as to cut off people who don't share his values and perception of how the world should be. Often getting trapped in his own stubbornness, incorrect, rash decisions can be made on occasion.
Well-versed in most things related to the world beneath the waves, when it comes to the land, he is mostly clueless, and will grab any opportunity to discover new information, habits, patterns of thinking, people and their unique traits. His inquisitiveness knows almost no bounds, and consecutive questions is the only way to sate it. A child at heart, still, but one that is only revealed to the ones he trusts completely, full of optimism, despite his grim outlook on the societal structure of Zorin. A brand-new soul, with a lot to learn, still.
Humility may just be the greatest gift his mother granted him while growing up. Certainly not the type of person to brag about accomplishments, or think himself better than the next slave, and the only person he really needs to prove himself to is his own self. Arrogance is an acquired trait, having formed as a defence mechanism shortly after his prolonged captivity ended, and is almost exclusively displayed towards slave owners. Refusing to duck his head and comply, just because of his status as a slave, he will compensate by projecting confidence and lack of fear, at times in excess.
Naive by personal nature, yet conditioned to be distrustful, both by race and life experiences, Ezume views new additions to his life under a dual lens. The first instinct when encountering a slave is to assume good intentions from their end, which naturally leads to frequent disappointment. Still, information about himself is offered selectively, until he deems any potential ally trustworthy. Slave owners are blacklisted by default, and therefore, will be immediately distrusted.
